Buddy, Bob and Piaggio USA president Paolo Timoni in Times Square, New York, NY.
July 14th - 1040hr ET: Buddy and Bob arrived in Manhattan under the watchful eyes of the New York Scooter Club and the NYPD. The roadfaring explorers were greated by a phalanx of friends, family and Piaggio employees, including Piaggio USA president Paolo Timoni. The press turnout was equally impressive: Forbes, CNN, The New York Times, the New York Daily News and NY Metro all turned out to document their arrival at the Lincoln Highway’s Eastern Terminus. While the ride’s over, we’ve still got some additional content and thoughts from the riders regarding their journey across America’s Main Street, so keep checking back.

Gentlemen! Congratulations and thank you for being an inspiration to us all. Following your journey has been a distinct pleasure. Best wishes toward your future rides and in all that you do. God bless!
Congratulations, guys, Marchello and Sophia! What an adventure! I’ve followed every post in the blog, and I’m so glad you made it, and had such a good time doing it. Remember, you promised me an interview for Urban Moto when you get back to San Francisco (maybe we can loop you in by phone, Buddy!)! Thanks for sharing your trip with the entire scootering community.

Bob and Buddy,
Congratulations on completing your journey across the Lincoln Highway! The “Illinois Lincoln Highway Fan Club” has enjoyed following your postings and photos each day.
Just out of curiosity, what were the final odometer readings on Marchello and Sophia? I didn’t see any photos of the odometers.
Those MP3’s looked almost as good at the finish line as they did at the starting line!
All the best for wherever your future travels take you next!
Chapeau bas. Quand on aime la moto comme vous, cela fait chaud au coeur. Cela prouve que l’exploit peut-être en chacun quand on le veut vraîment. Encore une fois, bravo…
Amazing adventure. Congratulations to both of you.
I have the European Version of the Mp3 500 (Gilera FUOCO here) and i like it a LOT!
Best regards From Portugal.
Bon Jour, Olivier:
“Encore une fois”, OUI!!!!!!!!
Merci beaucoup, Buddy
Mike:
final odometer reading: 4,200 nmiles. Lincoln H’way listed as 3400. We wandered at times looking for it. No Maintenance issues. One oil chage after break-in.
Thanks for good wishes.
Buddy
Hello Mike: I intended to take a photo of the odometer and in all the excitement at the finish I forgot to do so. Someday I intend to return to Plainfield and hope to see you again.
Congratulation from Paris!
Congratulations on a great trip. Any misgivings I’ve had about riding cross country or about the MP3 are gone.
Since you had Mr. Timoni so close I hope you whispered to him that he should get some MP3’s imported into the USA and to dealers.
