Just before we set out from Sacramento for the last day of filming Buddy and Bob, we filled up the bikes and topped off the Dodge Durango Superleggera chase vehicle. Buddy and Bob both fueled the Piaggios on the same receipt. (The MP3 500 can hold 3.2 gallons of gas). The Durango was topped off by putting in about half a tank. The comparative damage to our pocketbooks after the jump.
That’s just over fifteen bucks to fill both three-wheelers, while filling the V8 behemoth with nearly 11 gallons, comes in at about $50. Ouch.
The Dodge Durango is a beautiful medium size SUV but known to be thirsty like the elephants in Nepal, and an elephant can carry two or more motorcycles. That is the difference.
