Day 9: Riders Unexpected Thai Lunch In Rawlins, WY 1240hr MT (Updated)

The boys called in from a lunch stop in Rawlins, Wyoming. As of 1240hr MT, they’d wolfed down a meal at the only Thai restaurant in a vast swath of beef country. The owner of Anong’s Thai had quite a sense of humor, as evidenced by this exchange with our riders:

"So," Bob asked, "how did you end up here? In Rawlins?"
"Ahhhh," responded the Thai restauranteur, "well, I found it on the internet."
Then, as the man walked away and our hard-to-fool riders looked at each other in disbelief, he turned back and smiled.
"Just kidding!"

Buddy & Bob are now running east via a combination of I-80 and stretches of the Lincoln Highway. So far they’ve seen a lot of signage in disrepair. Much more to follow, pending their next phone call. We wish them a safe journey, as today’s 200+mile leg to Laramie, WY is a tough one…
