From Buddy & Bob

After thirty plus years of worldwide adventure travel on large size (1000cc plus) enduro motorcycles, an alternative experience will be launched today from the Western Terminus of the Lincoln Highway in Lincoln Park, San Francisco.

We are two senior citizens seeking a means of sustaining our passion for the road.

We found a vehicle that has the promise of motorcycling thrills and adventure with the stability and safety of a car. The three wheel Piaggio MP3 500, with two independent tilting front wheels, offers a promise of power, performance, and riding stability that will allow us to keep on going.

We will cross the USA on America’s first transcontinental route, The Lincoln Highway, and travel 3400+ miles to our destination – Times Square in New York City. As the Traveling Wilburys say, “Even when you are old and gray you still have something to say.”

We seek to be transported to an authentic, mystic America without Wal-Marts, Starbucks, or strip malls. On our MP3’s we will re-establish a connection, however glancing, with the old reliable America.

At noon, June 13th, we will be at the Western Terminus of the Lincoln Highway and our journey will begin. If you are in the area, join us for the start of the ride over the Bay Bridge. We welcome all two and three wheel riders!

You’re setting out to join a very proud list of people who accomplished “firsts” on the Lincoln Highway. I’ll be watching your progress. Best of luck and weather.
